Candle Care Guide
Trim the Wick
Before lighting a candle, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. This helps prevent excessive smoking and ensures a clean, even burn.
Create a Full Wax Pool
For the first burn, let the candle burn until the wax pool reaches the edge of the container. This establishes a "memory" for subsequent burns and helps avoid tunneling.
Keep the Wax Pool Clean
Remove debris, such as matches or wick trimmings, from the wax pool to avoid flaring and uneven burning.
Discontinue Use at 1/2 Inch Wax Depth
Stop burning a candle when there is approximately 1/2 inch of wax remaining. Burning a candle beyond this point can lead to overheating of the container.
Reuse
Once the wax is gone, clean the vessel thoroughly and repurpose it!
