The Healing & Meditation Rituals Behind Our Hand-Poured Candles

The Healing & Meditation Rituals Behind Our Hand-Poured Candles

It all began in late 2015. At the time, we were managing a full-time college course load while commuting nearly three hours to another state and back for internships. The hustle that pushed us to commit to that could fill an entire post of its own, but we’ll save that story for another day.

It’s no surprise that burnout hit us hard, but that crash became the launchpad for a soul-nourishing journey into wellness and spirituality. Along the way we began setting our space with a candle, using it as a simple ritual to shift our energy into calm and deep presence. As we stepped into the post-college world, that space became a constant—always something to return to. Our candle, a prayer, a journal, a funny TV show, or whatever was bringing us joy at the time.

When we earned our certification in breathwork and meditation, we knew we wanted to use these tools not only to heal ourselves but also to guide others in reclaiming peace amid the chaos.

That sparked a thought: what if we could combine the simple experience of a candle with the depth of this life-changing practice? That question became the seed of And Then We Flow candles.

Even in the nonstop hustle of New York City, we created a sanctuary of softness, rest, and reconnection. That sanctuary grew into our hand-poured coconut soy wax candle collection—purposefully curated to help you pause, breathe, and flow back to yourself.
